EC-Council University initiated the ‘ECCU Cyber Challenge’ to create awareness and opportunities for enthusiasts in the industry who truly believe in the saying “knowledge is power”.

Cyber Challenge is an online contest where cybersecurity professionals and enthusiasts can participate. It will be a single-stage online event running for one week, following which a new challenge shall be revealed. The participants will have to rack their brains to solve the different questions posed across all EC-Council University social media platforms

Winners of the Cyber Challenge will be awarded a partial scholarship opportunity at EC-Council University.

October Cyber Challenge Question No 1:

Cybersecurity Awareness Month Cyber Challenge Scholarship

Terms and Conditions:

  1. To be eligible to apply for the Cybersecurity Awareness Month Cyber Challenge, participants must:
    1. Attempt all four cyber challenges of the month (October), which will be updated every week and,
    2. Attend all Cyber Talks of the month (October). Please note that you will also receive a Certification of Attendance after attending the entire webinar.
  2. Only three winners will be selected at October’s Cyber Challenge. These winners will be entitled to a scholarship of USD 6,000 (first place), USD 4,000 (second place), and USD 2,000 (third-place).
  3. The scholarship can be availed upon submitting proof of enrollment in one of the Degree Programs at EC-Council University which are listed under the Academic Programs of the website eccu.edu. A student must, therefore, meet all admission requirements for a degree program (Masters or Bachelors) at ECCU to qualify for the scholarship.
  4. Since the contest is being carried out through multiple channels, multiple entries from a single participant will not be considered. Only the first entry from each participant will be considered for evaluating winners and all other entries will be discarded.
  5. There is no limit to participation. Even after availing, the candidates can participate by giving answers to future cyber challenge questions. However, scholarships will be awarded to only first-time winners.
  6. Although the scholarship encourages new enrollments, existing students can also participate in the Cybersecurity Awareness Month Cyber Challenge as long as they meet all the eligibility conditions.
  7. There is no cash alternative to the prize.
  8. Participants who are already availing benefits of any of EC-Council University’s other scholarship programs are not entitled to multiple scholarships and would have to forfeit other awards to receive this scholarship.
  9. Even if a candidate has won the ECCU Cyber Challenge, she/he will still have to pay the Application Fee to enroll in one of the degree programs at ECCU. The scholarship amount will be posted to the student’s account as a scholarship of 50% of current term tuition and applied each term until the total award is exhausted.
  10. In the case of a tie, a tiebreaker challenge will be carried out. For the tiebreaker, the participants will be requested to must submit a formal request letter addressing the following topics:
    1. The reason for requesting the award
    2. Personal and professional goals
    3. A brief personal and professional history/biography
    4. Provide full contact information
    5. The letter must be free of mechanical errors, grammatically correct, and appropriately formatted.

The winner will be selected at the sole discretion of the university.

  1. MAINTAINING THE SCHOLARSHIP In order to maintain the scholarship from term to term, the recipient must meet ECCU’s “Criteria for Maintaining Continual Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)” (GPA, course completion rate, etc.) as delineated in the ECCU Catalog. If the awardee does not maintain SAP, the scholarship will no longer be awarded. Once the student is no longer on Academic Probation the scholarship will be reinstated. Students must maintain continuous enrollment from term to term to maintain the scholarship.
  2. Participants agree that personal data submitted with an entry, including name, mailing address, phone number, and email address may be collected, processed, stored and otherwise used by EC-Council University, its affiliates, and its agents for the purposes of conducting and administering the contest. By entering the Contest, participants agree to the transmission, processing, disclosing, and storage of this personal data by EC-Council University, its affiliates, and the agents.
  3. If for any reason the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the contest, EC-Council University reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the contest. EC-Council University further reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the submission process or any other part of the contest or contest site.
