Terms and Conditions for ECCU’s Online / Social Media Competitions, Contests, and Challenges
Participants must submit correct answers within the stipulated deadlines for individual competitions/contests/challenges to be eligible for pre-determined prizes/scholarships/awards.
Prizes/scholarships/awards shall be redeemable only upon valid proof of enrollment in an EC-Council University (ECCU) degree program (bachelor’s or master’s).
Prizes, scholarships, or awards shall not be applicable to standalone or non-degree courses, certifications, or short-term programs.
While competitions/contests/challenges may be conducted across multiple platforms (including social media channels), only the first valid submission received from each participant shall be considered. Any subsequent or duplicate entries by the same participant, whether on the same or different platforms, shall be deemed ineligible.
A participant may enter multiple competitions/contests/challenges; however, only one prize, scholarship, or award shall be granted per participant, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Competitions/contests/challenges are open to both existing ECCU students and non-students, subject to the eligibility criteria specified for each competition/contest/challenge.
Prizes, scholarships, or awards are non-transferable, non-assignable, and cannot be exchanged, substituted, or redeemed for cash or any other monetary consideration. Participants who are currently receiving any other ECCU-funded scholarship or financial aid shall not be eligible for an additional scholarship award under these competitions throughout their enrollment with ECCU, though they may participate unless otherwise restricted.
Depending on the nature of the competition/contest/challenge, current ECCU students may be excluded from eligibility for certain prizes, scholarships, or awards, as may be specified in the applicable rules.
All prizes, scholarships, or awards shall be granted at the sole discretion of ECCU, and ECCU’s decision shall be final and binding.
Winners must complete all applicable enrollment formalities, including payment of the prescribed application fee, to avail any prize, scholarship, or award. Any such benefit shall be credited to the participant’s student account during the first term of enrollment in an eligible ECCU degree program.
If a winner fails to enroll in an eligible ECCU degree program within the timeline specified by ECCU, the prize, scholarship, or award shall stand forfeited.
By participating, entrants consent to the collection, use, processing, and storage of their personal data (including name, contact details, and other relevant information) by ECCU, its affiliates, and authorized representatives for the purposes of administering the competition/contest/challenge and related promotional activities, in accordance with applicable laws.
ECCU reserves the right to use participants’ names, likeness, submissions, and/or testimonials for promotional, marketing, and publicity purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
ECCU further reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms, engages in misconduct, provides false information, or attempts to tamper with the process or outcome of the competition/contest/challenge.
ECCU’s interpretation of these terms and conditions shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the competition/contest/challenge.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EC-Council University, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with participation in any competition/contest/challenge, including but not limited to technical malfunctions, system errors, delays, loss of data, unauthorized access, or any injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from participation or acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize, scholarship, or award.
By participating, each participant represents that their participation complies with applicable laws and does not infringe the rights of any third party. Participants agree to be responsible for their conduct and submissions in connection with the competition/contest/challenge. To the extent permitted by applicable law, participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless EC-Council University, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of their breach of these terms or misconduct in connection with participation.
These terms and any disputes arising out of or in connection with any competition/contest/challenge shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. The courts located in New Mexico shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any such disputes.
