Program Overview

ECCU’s Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security (BSCS) program prepares students to assume managerial and executive positions in the cyber industry. A curriculum focused on both academic rigor and developing practical skill sets, covers topical areas of cybersecurity management, incident response, and security threat assessment, upon completion of which individuals won’t be mere users of information but will be creators of knowledge and inventors of processes.

The bachelor’s in cybersecurity degree infuses practice into the theoretical components of the courses to ensure that individuals graduate being industry-ready. The program offers students the knowledge of fundamental IT security principles and skills of real-world cybersecurity applications, tools, and techniques. It specializes in areas dealing with network management, computer security, incident response, and cybersecurity threat assessment, designed to pave students’ way to a career of their choice in the cybersecurity workforce.

Ans: There are several ways to show proof that you meet the English requirement. If your degree is earned in a country where English is the official language, you do not need to provide additional proof. If English was the language of instruction at the university where you earned your degree, then you must provide a letter from the institution stating that English was the language of instruction. Ans: EC-Council University accepts college-level courses for consideration of transfer from accredited US or foreign equivalent institutions on a case-by-case basis. Computer technology courses (including academic cybersecurity credits) must have been earned within the last ten years for consideration. Credits must be from institutions accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or an accepted foreign equivalent that is listed in the International Handbook of Universities. The classes must closely correspond with EC-Council University courses, and the student must have earned a grade of “B” or higher for the master’s and Graduate Certificate Programs. All course transfer credits for the bachelor’s program must be a C or better. To begin the process, submit an official transcript or NACES/NAFSA evaluation. ECCU will evaluate all transcripts for potential transfer credit. The transfer credit must come from classes equivalent to the same level of education and learning outcomes as the degree coursework. Students may receive maximum transfer credit of 18 graduate credit hours towards a master’s degree and 30 undergraduate credit hours to the required 60 credits for admission for a total of 90 credit hours in a bachelor’s degree.
